Make Sure to Write the Full year when writing a date in 2020!
When you are writing the date for this upcoming year whether it be for a check, contract or financial document be sure to write the full date.
This is particularly important for 2020 because if you format the date with the last two numbers 20 it can be changed to another year that reflects the future or present.
For example, if the date reflects 11/12/20 for November 12, 2020 someone else could change the date to reflect 11/12/2019 or 11/12/2021, which would not be your intent. This over-site of not writing out the date can be really important for any document that is notarized or property agreement such as leases.
It is good practice not to purely write in numerical dates because they are not usually appropriate in contracts and agreements and can cause confusion.
